Pamela Thomas Inks First-Look Deal with Frantic Films

WINNIPEG: In an effort to enhance its expertise in comedy content, Frantic Films has signed a first-look agreement with Pamela Thomas, a seasoned entertainment executive.

Thomas has been in the comedy business for more than two decades. She has contributed to such productions as Saturday Night Live and Kids in the Hall and has collaborated with the likes of Will Ferrell, Chris Farley and Maya Rudolph. She has worked in both scripted and unscripted programming at NBC, HBO, VH1, Showtime, CBC, The Comedy Network and Lifetime. She is also credited with a trio of Emmy-nominated web series.

“We are very fortunate to have someone of Pamela’s caliber work with our team,” stated Jamie Brown, the CEO of Frantic Films. “Pam will be a huge asset as we as we build on our success in comedy, and advance new projects in production and funded development.”

“I’ve been a fan of Frantic’s work for years and I’m really looking forward to working with Brenda Greenberg, Jamie and the rest of the team there,” added Thomas.

Frantic’s comedy credits include The Winnipeg Comedy Festival (CBC), Todd and the Book of Pure Evil (Space) and Men With Brooms (CBC).
