Novovision Creates Canadian Banner

PARIS: Nathalie Bourdon, a former sales director at Just For Laughs, has teamed up with François-Xavier Poirier, the founder and president of Novovision, to launch Novovision Canada.

The newly launched Novovision Canada will be present at MIPTV, operating alongside Novovision. Bourdon spent more than a decade as sales director for Just For Laughs, but was also previously the president of Faremore Distribution, the company behind the hit Lol.

“I am especially happy that Nathalie Bourdon agreed to create Novovision Canada with us,” said Poirier. “Nathalie has unrivaled expertise in non-verbal comedy programming. What’s more, through her company Faremore, she acquired a great deal of experience in the area of formats. The launch of Novovision Canada marks a new stage in the international development of Novovision, which has just celebrated ten years of activity.”

“After the co-production in 2012 of 170 episodes of PopCorn TV ‘live’, Novovision had clearly shown its desire to reach the North American market,” added Bourdon. “A partnership then became the obvious thing to do, given that our ambitions and skills were converging in the same direction. So it is with great pleasure that I have created this new company with François-Xavier Poirier, to which I want to bring all my experience in the field of short-format, non-verbal comedy and formats.”
