The 9th edition of the FMSCI MMSC Volkswagen Ameo Cup series, through a pair of licensing deals, was presented to viewers in India and Asia to positive results.

To date, the show has been distributed across 50 countries—including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei and Myanmar—via subscription VOD service iflix for the Asia Pacific. The Volkswagen Ameo Cup series has also been licensed to South Asia’s YuppTV, an internet-based TV and on-demand service provider.

Available in English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, the series found further success in India, where it aired on DSPORT, Discovery’s premium sports channel.

The Volkswagen Ameo Cup, held across three cities over five months with 20 racers in contention, is India’s only one-make championship motorsports event.

GoQuest Digital Studios is behind the series. Darshan Bhatt, director of GoQuest Digital Studios, said, “Witnessing an epic event such as the Ameo Cup and developing a show around it has been an exhilarating journey for all of us at GQDS.  Right from the start, we wanted the series to be much more than just a racing show focusing equally on the glamour, technology and the humane side of the world rather than just the podium finishes. We are delighted that the show is a huge success and the rave reviews from the audiences have validated our hard work. We are overwhelmed with the response we have garnered and are delighted to have been able to generate more interest in motorsports not only in India but in Asia too.”
