Viki Scores Slew of Malaysian Content

SAN FRANCISCO: Nearly 100 hours of programming from the catalogue of Media Prima’s Primeworks Distribution is being made available on Viki.com.

Primeworks Distribution is a division of Media Prima, Malaysia’s largest free-to-air broadcaster and distribution arm of Malaysia’s largest production company. Through the new partnership, close to 100 hours of Malaysian scripted content is headed to Viki.com. This includes I Miss You 200%, Ariana Rose, Autumn in My Heart and And the Nominees Are.

The agreement marks the first time that Viki has signed a distribution deal with a Malaysian content provider.

Nam. “Viki is uniquely positioned to deliver exciting new entertainment that may have a hard time finding international audiences to global viewers everywhere, thanks to our fan base of 40 million monthly users and our crowd-sourced subtitling in over 200 languages.”
