Twentieth Century Fox Enters Chinese SVOD Deal

NEW YORK: Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has licensed the SVOD rights for a slate of feature films, including Speed and Black Swan, to YOU On Demand in China.

The agreement makes titles available to subscribers of YOU On Demand's SVOD platform and service via mobile, OTT, digital cable and IPTV. Among the movies featured under the pact are A-Team, starring Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson; Master and Commander, featuring Russell Crowe; and Unstoppable, led by Denzel Washington and Chris Pine.

"Twentieth Century Fox's award-winning and blockbuster films demonstrate YOU On Demand's continued commitment to deliver the best premium content to our customers," said Shane McMahon, the chairman of YOU On Demand. "We are excited to be working with them in China as we bring their diverse library to all YOU On Demand platforms."

Gina Brogi, the executive VP of worldwide pay TV and SVOD at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, added: "We are very pleased that this agreement with YOU On Demand will see many of our high-quality feature films become accessible to viewers in China via the company's breakthrough SVOD service."
