TV5MONDE Expands Indian Presence

HONG KONG: TV5MONDE has added 8 million homes to its Indian footprint with its new deal with DTH platform Airtel.

Subscribers of Airtel's Ultra, Mega, South Ultra and South Mega packages can access TV5MONDE for no extra charge. The French-language network is accessible to other subscribers for a monthly fee.

The deal with Airtel was secured by local distributor CATVISION, which has been repping TV5MONDE in India since 1998. TV5MONDE Asie reaches almost 37 million subs in the country.

Overall, TV5MONDE reaches more than 54 million subscribers across AsiaPac, a 31.7-percent increase on December 2013.
