Top Gear Korea Recommissioned

SINGAPORE: Korea’s XTM has commissioned two additional seasons of its adaptation of the BBC Worldwide hit motoring show Top Gear.

Joyce Yeung, senior VP and general manager of sales and distribution Asia at BBC Worldwide, announced the commission for the two additional seasons at Asia TV Forum this week. Kim Jin-Pyo, presenter of Top Gear Korea, was on hand in Singapore to talk about the local version, which BBC Worldwide introduced to buyers at the market.

XTM is one of a portfolio of cable channels operated by CJ E&M. It will launch both new seasons in 2012. The local version is fronted by Kim Jin-Pyo, actor Kim Kap-Soo and celebrity racer Yeon Jung-Hoon.
