Sky Vision Secures Deals Across Asia

Sky Vision has made multiplatform licensing deals across Asia for several dramas and factual series, including the Emmy-nominated Patrick Melrose.

Patrick Melrose, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, has been licensed in China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, and is airing on iQIYI in China, BBC Player in Asia, BBC First in Asia, Hotstar premium in India and CJ in Korea.

Based on the best-selling novels by Deborah Harkness, Sky One’s A Discovery of Witches has also been licensed across the region. It will transmit on FOX Networks Group Asia through FOX Life and premium video streaming service FOX+, and CJ in Korea. Fortitude 3 is licensed to FOX Networks Group Asia through FX. BBC Player and BBC First in Asia have picked up Lennie James’ Save Me.

Additionally, Sky Vision has sold more than 300 hours of factual programming that will play on VOD platforms across China. The deal includes a wide range of factual programming, including Secret Life of the Zoo, The Wine ShowArctic PerilExtraordinary Powers of the Human Body and Master of Photography. They air on the video sharing website bilibili, mobile app Lekan.com and Nordic TV (SVOD service).

CCTV’s new 4K channel has acquired 15 hours of UHD content. Life: First Steps, Big Beasts: Last of the Giants, Monkeys: An Amazing Animal Family, One Wild Day and Dogs: An Amazing Animal Family are among the available shows.
