HONG KONG: Fox Networks Group (FNG) Asia has appointed SDI Media to localize the American talk show Harry, hosted by Harry Connick, Jr., in several languages for distribution across Asia.

SDI Media is creating same-day localized versions in both Mandarin and Thai languages for audiences in the Asian region to view the same episode that aired earlier in the U.S. with translations and subtitles. Subtitled versions of Harry are now available to view across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand within a 24-hour timeline of the original air date. The new contract with FNG for Harry continues the companies’ relationship for expedited localization servicing that began in 2015.

Harry airs Tuesdays to Saturdays at 4:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. on StarWorld SEA.

“Global audiences are requesting access to the same content across all territories and we are pleased to partner with FNG to assist in the fulfillment of those requests,” said Michael Tang, the managing director of Asia at SDI Media. “As broadcasters require faster timelines in additional languages, SDI Media is equipped to manage those projects and fulfill those demands.”
