PARIS: National funding agency Screen Australia is due to showcase a lineup of web talent from Down Under at the second edition of the MIP Digital Fronts at this year's MIPTV.

Set to take place April 15 to 16 in Cannes’ Palais des Festivals, the MIP Digital Fronts will have opening screenings April 14. Screen Australia will present Nick Boshier and Connor Van Vuuren, Derek Muller, Natalie Tran and John Luc (supported by Robyn Kershaw), Australian content creators using open platforms to build an audience outside of the traditional system. The Oz showcase will take place April 15.

“Screen Australia recognizes that online video is arguably the most fertile ground for developing new filmmakers, and has been devising the most effective ways to support content creators on newer platforms,” said event organizer REED Midem in a statement. “This session will have relevance to all those involved in the business of talent development.”
