Quickflix Signs New Deals with NBCU, Disney, BBC Worldwide

SYDNEY: The Australian streaming service Quickflix has expanded its offering of TV series through new agreements with Disney, NBCUniversal and BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand.

Content licensed under these new agreements include seasons of Downton Abbey, the U.S. comedy series Parks and Recreation, Mrs Brown’s Boys and other series from NBCUniversal. From the Disney/ABC Television Group come the drama series Revenge and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., among others. Also new to Quickflix are the hit series Sherlock, Orphan Black, Doctor Who and more from BBC Worldwide ANZ.

The TV series content will be made available through the Quickflix pay-per-episode service and on a “Season Pass” basis, where available. Quickflix has also renewed its commitment with BBC Worldwide ANZ under a multiyear deal to license quality drama content for its subscription streaming service.
