SYDNEY: Dafydd Williams is returning to Network Ten in the role of head of development, having previously served as network executive producer and then as head of factual programming at the channel.

Williams worked at Network Ten originally from 2006 to early 2012. Before Network Ten, he was an executive producer at Southern Star Entertainment and Beyond Productions. He also spent 12 years working in the U.K. broadcasting industry, including roles as the BBC, ITV and S4C.

In his new post at Network Ten, Williams will be reporting to Beverly McGarvey, the chief programming officer. His appointment is effective January 31.

McGarvey said: “Dafydd is one of the best-connected and most experienced producers in the Australian television industry. His appointment is part of the strategy to build our management talent across all departments of Network Ten.

“We are very excited to be welcoming Dafydd back to Ten. The development of new shows is, of course, a key area for us and Dafydd’s skills and experience will be a great addition to our local programming and production team.”

Williams added: “I’m delighted to be returning to Network Ten and it will be a pleasure to be reunited with the talented team of friends and colleagues.”
