SYDNEY: Network Ten has appointed Rebekah Horne as chief digital officer, effective immediately.

Horne will be continuing to develop Network Ten’s digital media strategy. She was previously the CEO of TopFloor.com, a Los Angeles-based start-up. Before that she was the chief digital officer at DMG Radio. The new post at Network Ten sees her reporting to CEO James Warburton.

“We are delighted to welcome someone with Rebekah’s experience and skills to Network Ten,” Warburton said. “We have made significant progress with our digital media business over the past 12 months and Rebekah will play a key role in accelerating our growth in that area.”

“The television industry has been faced with enormous changes that have had significant implications for all players in the value chain,” Horne commented. “This challenge provides the opportunity for the industry to overhaul its traditional model and ways of creating, distributing and monetizing its content. I look forward to immersing myself in this interesting and exciting opportunity, and working with James and the team at Ten.”
