HONG KONG: Keshet International (KI) has hired Gary Pudney in the newly created role of head of Asia, as the company opens an office in Hong Kong.

Pudney will report to Alon Shtruzman, the CEO of Keshet International. He will be working closely with Kelly Wright, who is the sales director for Latin America and Asia. Pudney was formerly the head of Asia Pacific at Sparks Eccho Group. He has also held stints at Typhoon Media and Galleon.

Shtruzman said, “There is a misconception that international companies are only interested in exporting to Asia, but that’s certainly not the case for us. We’re looking to develop a fruitful, two-way exchange of IP into and out of Asia. With an office on the ground in Hong Kong, under the guidance of an experienced and capable executive like Gary, we are well positioned to build on our success to date and become active in all major Asian markets.”

Pudney said, “KI’s drive, ambition and enthusiasm to grow in the Asian region is both alluring and infectious! I am delighted to be part of the team and am very much looking forward to the challenge of building on the success the company has already had here, further establishing the KI brand across the continent.”
