SYDNEY: Ben Ulm, an award-winning producer, has joined ITV Studios Australia in the newly created position of head of content.

Ulm has developed and produced content for all Australian free-to-air networks, pay TV, U.K. broadcasters and U.S. networks. Most recently he was the head of factual entertainment at WTFN, where he was executive producer of The Living Room and Bondi Vet. He also developed and produced over the years Keeping Up with the Joneses, Bollywood Star and Tony Robinson Explores Australia.

At ITV Studios Australia, Ulm will be reporting to Anita Jacoby, managing director. He and Jacoby will be working closely to grow the content business with all networks in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Ulm will oversee and work with all genre heads.

“Ben is unquestionably one of the best in the business and he will play a pivotal role in the next phase of growth of ITV Studios Australia,” said Jacoby. “He is a first-class content producer along with being one of the nicest blokes in the industry.”

“It’s a rare opportunity to be able to join a brand like ITV. Drawing on my passion for developing and making television, I look forward to adding my two cents worth to the mix, and collaborating with Anita,” said Ulm.
