SINGAPORE/JAKARTA: MNC Sky Vision and Rewind Networks have inked a deal that sees the HITS channel becoming available on Indonesia's Indovision next month.

As of August 1, HITS will be added to the Galaxy and Super Galaxy pay-TV packages. The network will eventually roll out as part of the Venus pack, Okevision and TOP TV. It will be subtitled in Bahasa Indonesia. Indovision viewers will also have free access to the HITS app on iOS and Android devices, as well as the HITS website.

Rudy Tanoesoedibjo, the CEO and president director of MNC Sky Vision, remarked: "Most young TV viewers in Indonesia would've never had a chance to watch these sensational and memorable shows. Thus, as part of our commitment to continuously providing the best TV viewing experience for our subscribers, we are launching HITS channel exclusively—which offers every single iconic series of its own genre such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Golden Girls and Seinfeld. HITS' launch completes our superior 32 exclusive channel lineup and strengthens our dominant market leader position in Indonesia's pay-TV industry."

"We are extremely excited to launch in Indonesia with Indovision," said Avi Himatsinghani, the CEO of Rewind Networks. "As the largest pay-TV provider in Indonesia it was natural to pick Indovision as our exclusive partner. HITS has performed well in Singapore and our belief is that amazing storytelling has universal appeal. We know that our hit shows will strike a chord in the Indonesian market and we will quickly become the go-to destination for viewers."

"Our programming schedule is very suited towards Indonesian audiences," added Sandie Lee, the VP and channel head at Rewind Networks. "Indonesia is well known for their daily strips of juggernaut sinetrons. HITS is programmed no differently with our shows being shown at the same time every weekday with the added benefit of back-to-back episodes during the weekend for people to binge view. In other words, the HITS schedule is already in line with established Indonesian viewing habits."
