FOX Sports Scores Wimbledon Rights in Asia Until 2020

SINGAPORE: FOX Sports, a FOX International Channels (FIC) network, has inked a deal with the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC) to extend its Asian broadcast rights for the Wimbledon championships for another six years.

The agreement, which involves cable, satellite, terrestrial and multimedia rights, will see FOX Sports continue to serve as Asia's home of the two-week tennis event from 2015 to 2020. The deal includes Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Guam, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, North Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Viewers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand will have access to commentary in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, Mandarin and Thai, respectively, as well as English.

In addition to offering live coverage in SD and HD, the action will be available on demand through FOX Sports Play and on mobile devices to subscribers of FOX Sports Mobile. Extensive highlights will also be shown on the 24/7 channel FOX Sports News.
