FILMART Online Touts Strong Turnout

FILMART Online and the first edition of EntertainmentPulse, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), featured 749 exhibitors and 8,000 talents from 81 countries and regions.

More than 2,400 new productions from the 749 exhibitors were showcased, including feature films, TV dramas and animation.

Of the exhibitors, more than 260 of them were from Mainland China, with the largest number of companies from Beijing, Zhejiang and Guangdong. Exhibitors from Shanghai, Chongqing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Ningbo and Xiamon also participated. In addition, Taiwan, the European Union, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, the United States and more had representatives.

Highlights from the four-day event include the Rediscovering the Hong Kong Production session with Hong Kong actor and film producer Gordon Lam; the Experience and Innovation of the Chinese Film Industry discussion with Yu Dong, founder, chairman and CEO of BONA Film Group; and the Digitalising Entertainment Experience with NFTs session with Melody Hildebrandt, chief information security officer at FOX and president of Blockchain Creative Labs (BCL).

The online portals for FILMART Online and EntertainmentPulse will remain open until May 17.
