MUMBAI: Colors Infinity is dedicating a Saturday slot for airing biopics and documentaries under the banner Live the Story.

Starting January 28, Live the Story will feature a range of biopics, including spotlights on Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali, Freddy Heineken and John F. Kennedy. Additionally, the strand will feature documentaries such as Bully, Arctic Tales and The Way Steve Jobs Changed the World. The block will begin airing Saturdays at 8 p.m.

Alongside the Live the Story strand, Colors Infinity has added two new series to its lineup. Riverdale is a dark, twisted take on the classic characters from the Archie comics. Vicki Iovine’s drama series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, based on the best-selling Girlfriends’ Guides, kicks off February 1.

Hashim D’Souza, the programming head of English entertainment at Viacom18, said: “We are consistently trying to introduce interesting and disruptive content for the loyal viewers of Colors Infinity. While we continue showcasing the best of English entertainment to our viewers, we are starting 2017 a little differently with a weekly biopic—Live the Story. Committed to showcasing engaging content, we are certain that the viewers will welcome the new addition to our lineup.”
