HONG KONG: Celestial Tiger Entertainment has signed several new agreements to bring exclusive content to its bouquet of pan-Asian channels, including a deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises for the Bellator Fighting Championships.

KIX carries a number of combat events first and exclusively in Asia. The sixth season of the mixed martial arts promotion Bellator Fighting Championships comes to the channel via a deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises. A multi-year output agreement with French media rights agency Fighting Spirit was scored for KIX to gain the global kickboxing tournament It’s Showtime.

South Korea’s CJ E&M Corporation is bringing a selection of TV series first and exclusively to Celestial Tiger’s channels in Asia. The volume deal includes hits such as Blood Thirsty Prosecutor, Hero, Quiz from God, Ten and Girl Killer K.

“With the growing popularity of mixed martial arts tournaments in Asia, we are securing two major combat promotions exclusively for KIX which, together with the current MMA programs, will make KIX the ‘home of combat’ in Asia," said Ofanny Choi, the executive VP of TV networks at Celestial Tiger Entertainment. "In addition, our partnership with CJ E&M guarantees our channels a pipeline of big-budget action series and thrillers that are truly daring, distinctive and Asian."
