SYDNEY: Fiona Crago has resigned as the general manager of Beyond Distribution, and is being replaced on an acting basis by Michael Murphy, a director of Beyond Entertainment.

Crago is leaving in order to pursue further university studies. Her responsibilities will be taken over by Murphy, based in Dublin, Ireland, on an acting basis. Murphy has been in the TV business for more than 25 years. He was a founder of Channel 6 in Ireland and was also the director of programs for TV3 in Ireland.

Mikael Borglund, Beyond’s CEO, said, "Fiona has been with Beyond since 1997, when she joined the legal department of the Group. For the past ten years Fiona has been responsible for the international television sales division and has achieved consistent revenue and profit growth during that period despite the challenging economic environment in recent years. I personally wish Fiona success with her new endeavors and thank her for the significant contribution she has made to Beyond over the past 16 years."

Borglund added, "I have known Michael professionally since the 1980’s when he was a sales executive for one of our sub-distributors. Since that time Michael’s career has included being content director for Yes Television UK, director of programs at TV3 Ireland, director of digital television for eircom (Ireland), and founding Channel 6 Ireland. I am confident that Michael will be able to lead the Beyond Distribution team effectively and continue the growth trajectory of the division going forward."

Crago commented, “Beyond has been an incredible company to work for over the last 16 years. I only hope that I have been able to contribute as much as Beyond has given me both professionally and personally. I will miss my colleagues and business associates very much, however, I will remain involved in the industry in my capacity as a director of Screenrights.”
