SINGAPORE: The Asian Food Channel (AFC) has ordered a second season of The Amazing Food Challenge: Fun in the Philippines after its successful first run earlier this year.

The 13-episode season will see ten contestants from around the world traveling through four different parts of the Philippines. They’ll compete in traditional-themed culinary challenges, engage in races and create Filipino delicacies in the hopes of winning a cash prize of $30,000. The show is produced by AFC parent company Scripps Networks Interactive in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism and the country's Tourism Promotions Board.

“We are excited to give our fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the Philippines with an all-access pass to the country’s best-kept secrets—from its diverse cuisine and rich cultural heritage to its friendly people and extreme adventure,” said CheeK, the head of creative, content and marketing for Scripps Networks Interactive, Asia Pacific. “Whether you are watching the action on AFC or experiencing it first-hand as a contestant, we promise a truly exhilarating experience!”
