SINGAPORE/MELBOURNE: Active TV has added Marc Checkley, Stella Wong and Kay Lawrence to its management team.

Checkley has been hired as Active TV’s new head of development for Asia. Replacing Rob Khoo, he will be charged with developing new content, business and partnerships across the region. With more than ten years of experience working in TV, radio, print and online media, Checkley previously served as the group editor of television and entertainment for Ten Alps Asia.

Wong joins Active TV as the head of finance. In her new role she will supervise the financial management of the group’s activities in the region. In the past Wong has worked for companies such as Procter and Gamble and Ogilvy & Mather in Singapore.

Lawrence, who has been in the television business for more than two decades, has been appointed as group general manager of Active TV’s operations throughout the Asia Pacific. She previously held positions with McMahon International and Jonathan M Shiff Productions Australia, where she worked for 15 years.

"The industry in Asia is heading into a great period of change, growth and opportunity and this new management team positions us to take full advantage of this changing environment," said Michael McKay, the president of Active TV. "Commissioned programming is still fundamental to our business, as is acquiring international formats, but creating our own fresh formats and exporting them internationally is becoming more important."
