Mezzo Live HD Heads to Indonesia

HONG KONG: Mezzo Live HD, a channel featuring classical and jazz concerts, has secured a presence in Indonesia on First Media and BiGTV.

The channel is owned by Lagardère Active. The Indonesian deal was brokered by Lightning International. It sees a selection of the channel's performances being made available on First Media and BiGTV's new OTT and SVOD services.

“We are confident that the great value of our premium music content will contribute to drive ARPU growth and further position First Media as a market leader in Indonesia," said Jean-René Aucouturier, the senior VP of business development at Lagardère Active TV. "We certainly look forward to extend our coverage to other major markets in Southeast Asia in the next few months.”

James Ross, the CEO of Lightning International, added, “We have had fantastic response to the channel from our partners and operators, and we will shortly be announcing a raft of additional carriage agreements across the region."
