ATF Unveils 2012 Conference Lineup

SINGAPORE: Asia TV Forum will run for four days this year, kicking off on Tuesday, December 4, with a pre-market conference covering topics such as animation, branded entertainment and formats in China.

The conference program will run across all four days, under the banner ContentNOW. Speakers slated to participate include two executives from Marvel: Cort Lane, the VP of animation development and production, and C.B. Cebulski, the senior VP, creator and content development, discussing how the studio is extending its brands onto multiple platforms. Also scheduled to discuss animation co-production and financing opportunities are Damien Tromel, the head of acquisitions and creative at DreamWorks Animation Classics; Derek Reeves, the creative executive for development and co-productions at Nelvana; Sep Riahi, the VP of home video, audio, digital and interactive distribution at Sesame Workshop; Vishnu Athreya, the executive director of programming acquisitions and development at Turner International Asia Pacific Limited; and Nick Dorra, the head of animation at Rovio Entertainment.
 
In another session, Silvia Goh, the chief content officer of LiquidThread at StarcomMediaVest Group, and Rebecca Yang, the CEO of IPCN, will be speaking on branded entertainment and formats in China.

Korean broadcasters will take center stage during the conference. Cho Hyo Jin, a producer at SBS, will talk about variety series, and AhnTaeg Ho from MBC will discuss that company’s future strategies.

Also on the agenda, Stephen Harris, a veteran TV development executive, and Alexis de Gemini, the French producer behind The Beauty Academy.

Together with ScreenSingapore, ATF will be spotlighting the Chinese film industry with a keynote by Yu Dong, the founder and CEO of Bona Films.
