NEW YORK: Production on the 10-episode TV Land series Hot in Cleveland, which marks the network’s foray into original scripted comedy, is slated to get under way on May 10, with the series premiere set for June 16.

The sitcom stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White. The show follows as three women from L.A. (Bertinelli, Leeves, Malick) land unexpectedly in Cleveland. They wind up staying and rent a house from a feisty caretaker (White), and the trio begin a new life.

Hot in Cleveland is one of two sitcoms slated for the network. The other is Retired at 35, which stars George Segal, Johnathan McClain, Casey Wilson, Jessica Walter and Christine Ebersole.
