TV Globo International Adds Tailored Content for African Viewers

SÃO PAULOO, July 29: TV Globo International, which delivers Portuguese-language content to a host of international markets, is adding to its schedule a cultural magazine series filmed in Angola and Mozambique.

Revista Africa, slated for a third-quarter launch, is a joint project with an independent Angolan producer. This is the channel’s second initiative to tailor content to its international subscribers, following the launch of Planeta Brasil for the Brazilian community in New York.

Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa make up a large part of TV Globo International’s subscribers. Angola alone has 150,000 subscribers out of 500,000 worldwide.
