TV Globo Furthers Carriage in Bolivia

SÃO PAULO: TV Globo Internacional has expanded its presence in Bolivia with a new launch on cable platform Cotel in the capital city of La Paz.

This adds to existing carriage for the Portuguese-language channel in Boliva, where it is already distributed by Multivisión, Cotas, Cotes and ITS operators. The Brazilian channel has also firmed up further partnerships with cable TV operators in the U.S, including Time Warner Cable, alongside a recently announced deal with Cablevision.

"Nowadays there is a large number of Brazilians in Bolivia, mainly in the city of La Paz," said Marcelo Spínola, the director of TV Globo Internacional. "The partnership with Cotel will further increase our scope in this important market in Latin America."
