TV Azteca Highlights New Titles

MEXICO CITY: New deals have been completed on titles in TV Azteca’s catalogue, which includes highlights such as the drama series Demente.

The 9×1-hour series Demente looks at crimes carried out by psychopaths and killers, touching on the darker side of humanity. This sits within TV Azteca’s catalogue alongside Eternamente Tuya (Forever Yours), a telenovela about two girls with very different lives; Vuelveme A Querer (Love Me Again), a tale of love and hate directed by Carlos Villegas Rosales and produced by Alicia Ávila; and Cada Quien su Santo, a family oriented drama series that tells fictional tales of people who entrusts themselves to their patron saint and seeks his help, guidance and protection. Also on offer from TV Azteca, Contrato De Amor (A Marriage of Convenience) tells the story of a woman whose family forces her into getting engaged to multimillionaire by her overly ambitious family.

Rounding out the slate is the game show Asgaard. The series tests the strength and stamina of four courageous contestants struggling to win silver coins in a fantasy world. TV Azteca announced that the Lithuania treatment will make its debut this month on Baltijos TV.

Auditions for a localized version of TV Azteca’s hit reality show La Academia Azteca recently wrapped in four Malaysian cities and in Singapore. The show, which was broadcasted by the Astro Ria Channel, began airing on March 7. La Academia Azteca follows the search for the next big musical star.
