Turner Sells Female-Targeted Website

LOS ANGELES: Online entertainment publisher BuzzMedia has acquired the female-skewing celebrity and lifestyle website The Frisky from Turner Broadcasting System.

Launched in 2008, The Frisky delivers entertainment, celebrity, fashion and women’s lifestyle content to more than 2 million average monthly readers. At BuzzMedia, it joins a portfolio that includes Celebuzz, JustJared, Buzznet, Concrete Loop, Stereogum, TheSuperficial, SocialiteLife and GoFugYourself.
