Turner Hires VP of Channel Marketing & Brand Management for EMEA

LONDON: Turner Broadcasting has appointed Lesley Bailey, who has worked at Disney and HIT Entertainment, to the newly created role of VP of channel marketing and brand management for its EMEA business.

She will be responsible for leading Turner Broadcasting’s kids' channel marketing and brand management strategy. Her remit also includes delivering marketing and franchise plans. The core mission of Bailey and her team is to generate high levels of awareness and affinity for Turner’s leading kids' portfolio to support revenue growth in ratings, licensing and merchandising and ad sales.

Bailey will report to Patricia Hidalgo, the senior VP of content and creative officer for EMEA, and will be based in the company’s regional head offices in London. Previously, she was the launch marketing director for Disney Channels in Scandinavia, developed the marketing strategy for the free-to-air Disney Channel Russia, and held pan-EMEA channel marketing and brand management roles for all Disney Channels. At HIT, Bailey was working on a global Thomas & Friends brand positioning.
