Turner Boosts Vietnamese Presence

HONG KONG: VTC Multimedia Corporation’s newly launched Vietnamese DTH platform is adding six channels from Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific to its lineup.

VTC will distribute CNN International, Cartoon Network, HLN, Boomerang, TCM Turner Classic Movies and truTV, beginning July 1. “Turner offers a range of news and entertainment options that is second to none in delivering an attractive proposition for our partners to market to their consumers," said Ian Carroll, executive VP and general manager of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific. "Vietnam is a dynamic market and Turner’s agreement with VTC is a major achievement. We look forward to working with VTC to continue to develop satellite television over the coming years.”
