LOS ANGELES: truTV has ordered eight episodes of Sing if You Can from Zodiak USA, to be renamed Killer Karaoke for its 2012 launch.

Jackass star Steve-O will host the series, which challenges contestants to break out in song during extreme physical challenges. In April, the British version premiered to nearly 5 million viewers and the series has already been sold to 13 territories. Zodiak Rights distributes the series internationally.

"The format is unlike anything you’ve ever seen," said Grant Mansfield, the CEO of Zodiak USA. "This is our fourth series with truTV, and we’re delighted to be producing their first game show."

"I’m in love with the concept of this show and overjoyed to be a part of it,” said Steve-O. “I cannot wait to get started."
