True Blood Continues to Deliver for HBO

NEW YORK: True Blood‘s second season run on HBO continues to draw big numbers for the premium network, with 4.4 million tuning in to watch the show in its 9 p.m. slot on Sunday night, marking a series high.

Adding up the linear broadcast, DVR recordings and on-demand viewers, the show is averaging 11.4 million per episode this season, HBO says. Adapted from the Charlaine Harris novels by Alan Ball, the series is set in Bontemps, Louisiana, in a world where vampires and humans coexist. A third season has been confirmed by HBO for launch in 2010.
