Tricon Showcases New Series & Docs

TORONTO: Tricon Films & Television is heading to MIPCOM with a range of new unscripted series and documentaries, as well as the returning scripted live-action series InSecurity.

Tricon is offering the 11-episode one-hour series Metal Evolution, a definitive history of heavy metal music from Banger Films. Host/producer and metalhead Sam Dunn travels the globe exploring the history of the music, interviewing Alice Cooper, Slash, Rob Zombie, Metallica and more.

Other featured series include Love Trap, in which people are given the chance to approach their crush. It is hosted by MTV personality Evan Starkman. Game Changers looks into new inventions and some of the coolest ideas. Ex Wives Rock features the lives of four rock musician divorcees who have led the sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.

Returning to MIPCOM is InSecurity in its second season. The action comedy series features men and women of the fictional National Intelligence and Security Agency. Tricon will also pre-screen the scripted series Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays.
