TORONTO: Tricon Films & Television has closed deals in Europe, Asia and the Middle East for its slate of factual properties and lifestyle series.

Travel Channel EMEA and Asia opted for the 13-episode travel-adventure series Life’s a Trip. The one-hour The Story of Furious Pete, a 2010 Hot Docs Official Selection, is headed to VMMA Belgium. The 8×30-minute America Hick Town was acquired by YES DBS Israel.

History Channel Spain picked up the feature-length Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. Russia’s Studio U7 acquired the rights to the 26-episode pop-culture series Ad Persuasion. And Digiturk in Turkey went for the lifestyle shows Fresh with Anna Olson and House of Bryan.
