Tower Productions to Produce Land of Lincoln TV Special

CHICAGO, August 15: The two-hour television special Land
of Lincoln
, based on Andrew Ferguson’s book
of the same name, will be produced by Chicago-based Tower Productions and will
be ready in time for the Lincoln Bicentennial in 2009.

Ferguson, the program’s host and tour guide, will embark on
a curiosity-fueled road trip to demonstrate how the myth and reality of
America’s 16th president remains alive to this day. The quest will feature
everything from roadside restaurants to official Lincoln Welcome Centers.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring this
remarkable book to television," said Jonathan Towers, the executive
producer of Land of Lincoln.
"Andy's life-long passion for Lincoln and his unique approach to the
subject will make this the premiere TV event of the Lincoln Bicentennial
year."

The author, host and narrator of the series, Ferguson is
also a senior editor at The Weekly Standard,
based in Washington, D.C. Prior to The Standard, he was a senior writer at the Washingtonian
magazine and a columnist for Bloomberg
