LONDON: Channel 4’s David Abraham, ITV’s Adam Crozier, Sky’s Jeremy Darroch and the BBC’s Mark Thompson will come together on a panel at Cambridge Convention 2011, organized by the Royal Television Society, to discuss the event’s theme this year: TV Everywhere: Paths to Growth.

The event is slated to take place at King’s College from September 14 to 16. The theme is being planned by Adam Crozier, ITV’s chief executive and chair of the Convention Advisory Committee. “In TV Everywhere: Paths to Growth, leading U.K. and international media figures will come together to explore how modern media companies can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the convergence of broadcast and broadband technologies, to grow our businesses and increase investment and employment in the creative industries," Crozier said. "We’ll be tackling all the key issues: How do we measure our audiences across multiple platforms? What are the new strategies for creating and releasing content across platforms and across the globe? How do local businesses become global brands? What can legislators and regulators do to help creative enterprises help themselves to grow? What insights can we learn from global media players? And, crucially, what will advertisers and consumers want from all the new services on offer?”

Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport will open the convention, while Discovery’s president and CEO, David Zaslav, will deliver the international keynote. The lineup also includes RTL Group’s Gerhard Zeiler, Virgin’s Neil Berkett and Sir Martin Sorrell. Other execs slated to speak at the event include Dawn Airey, Josh Berger, Tony Cohen, Lorraine Heggessey, Alex Mahon and John Smith.
