Top Gear Gets German Launch

LONDON: BBC Worldwide has sold the entertainment motoring show Top Gear to Kabel Eins in Germany.

Seen in more than 100 countries around the world, Top Gear is a show that centers on cars, but is full of stunts, challenges and special features. Top Gear is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The show will be dubbed into German for Kabel Eins.

"With Kabel Eins we have found the perfect home for Top Gear in Germany," said Isabelle Helle, the head of German-speaking territories for BBC Worldwide. "The series is one of our best-loved and most widely-watched—the Top Gear team’s hilarious antics never fail to disappoint and we’re sure Germans will soon become as addicted to them as we are."
