Toei Lines Up LatAm Broadcasters for Dragon Ball Series

LOS ANGELES: Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Kai have secured additional broadcast deals in Latin America via a new round of sales from Toei Animation.

Cartoon Network Latin America is taking episodes 1 to 54 of Dragon Ball Kai. The show will make its terrestrial debut on Televisa in Mexico this fall. City TV on Colombia licensed 20 made-for-TV movies from the Dragon Ball library.

“Dragon Ball continues to rank as an evergreen global brand that attracts new generations of viewers all over the world,” said Eduardo Lucio, the senior sales manager for Toei Animation. “Latin America remains a pivotal marketplace for Dragon Ball Z programming and we look forward to Dragon Ball Kai—the newest version of this perennial series—to launch this year with Cartoon Network Latin America and Televisa.”
