TiVo & Roku in Multiyear Pact for Patents

TiVo Corporation and Roku, Inc. have signed a multiyear IP license agreement, giving the streaming platform access to a portfolio of thousands of patents.

The license covers the TiVo and Rovi patent portfolios, as well as the OTT assets of the Intellectual Ventures (IV) patent portfolio under the TiVo/IV licensing partnership. The agreement also includes an option for Roku to access TiVo’s entertainment metadata and other TiVo products to further power intuitive search and navigation.
