Time Warner Cable Launches Enhanced iPad App

NEW YORK: The latest version of Time Warner Cable’s app for the iPad features more than 100 live channels, along with new features such as an enhanced interactive program guide.

The interactive program guide allows users to view listings for up to seven days, set favorite channels and more. The TWCable TV app also transforms the iPad into a remote control, with users able to choose a program from the interactive program guide and tuning the set-top box to the selected channel. As a remote DVR manager, the app can be used to schedule and manage upcoming recordings.

"Our customers have made the TWCable TV app an overwhelming success, with over 600,000 downloads to date," said Melinda Witmer, Time Warner Cable’s executive VP and chief video and content officer. Now they will enjoy an even better experience, with the ability to use the iPad as a remote control and to program and manage their DVRs using the iPad.
