The Voice Set for Australian Treatment

SYDNEY: Nine Network is working with Shine Australia and Talpa Productions for its own version of the hit vocal competition The Voice.

The show originated in Holland and went on to become a hit in the U.S. on NBC. A U.K. version has also been announced for BBC One.

The format features a vocal competition with a blind audition process, where celebrity musical coaches must select singers based on only hearing their voice. The coaches then take their talents through a series of battle rounds, culminating in a live show where viewers select a winner.
