The Style Network to Debut New Culinary Series

LOS ANGELES, June 21: This summer, The Style Network will
launch Pantry Raid, a new one-hour
weekly culinary series that aims to help people whip up gourmet meals from
unlikely ingredients available in their kitchens.

The series sees host Michael Schulson, the executive chef of
the modern Asian restaurant Buddakan New York, make surprise house calls in the
hopes of changing the way people think about cooking. He uses only the
ingredients he finds in the pantry, cabinets and refrigerator to create
delicious meals out of the sparse or oddly matched items he discovers. Along
the way, Schulson provides helpful tools and tips on creating a meal from
scratch and shows how an ordinary dish can turn into a work of art.

Pantry Raid was
developed by Elaine Brooks, the senior VP of development and new series at The
Style Network, and Sarah Weidman, executive producer. Dalaklis McKeown
Entertainment produces the series with Chuck Dalaklis and Theresa McKeown
serving as executive producers. It premieres August 29 at 9 p.m.

"With Pantry Raid
we have found a way to make the food genre fun and relatable to our
viewers," said Salaam Coleman Smith, the executive VP for Style. “The
talent that Michael Schulson brings to the series, coupled with the stories and
surprises we encounter inside each kitchen, promises a series jam-packed with
personality, excitement and fabulous culinary creations."
