The Storm Makes New African Debut

MIAMI: Telemundo Internacional’s The Storm premiered in Kenya over the weekend on Nation TV, airing Saturdays and Sundays in an 8 p.m. slot.

The telenovela has been commercialized in more than six countries in Africa, including Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria and Tanzania. The Storm has achieved strong results in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Costa Rica, Slovakia, Venezuela and Romania, among other countries. The production has been commercialized in more than 80 countries, including Paraguay, Brazil, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Lithuania and Serbia.

The Storm is an original telenovela by Humberto "Kico" Olivieri (Analia and Desert Lovers). It tells the story of two people who come from opposite sides of life and yet discover that there is a thin line between love and hate.

Nation TV in Kenya also airs the Telemundo novela Hidden Passions, which holds a Monday through Wednesday slot at 7:30 p.m.
