The Perfect Bride Notches Up International Deals

LONDON, September 29:
Since its presentation at MIPTV, Global Agency’s hit reality format The
Perfect Bride
has been optioned in
Spain, Germany, Korea, the U.K., Croatia, Australia, Bulgaria and Poland.

The format looks at the age-old
conflict between a bride and her mother-in-law, revealing the problems the
couples face when getting to know each other and how men respond to conflicting
demands between their mothers and their soon-to-be brides.

Since debuting in Turkey
in 2004, The Perfect Bride has
aired on Rai TV in Italy and LBC in the Middle East. In Turkey, the show broke
ratings records, achieving a 71.1-percent audience share, while in the Middle
East, its prime-time ratings were more than 40 percent.

“Formats with a wedding
theme are returning to the market,” said Izzet Pinto, the CEO of Global Agency.
“With mothers-in-law in action, The Perfect Bride show promises to be a winner in the upcoming
season!”
