The Hub Goes HD on FiOS TV

NEW YORK: Formerly known as Discovery Kids HD, The Hub HD is to join the lineup of Verizon’s FiOS TV.

The Hub is a multiplatform joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro. The channel just made its SD debut on October 10. It now joins the 140 HD channels and more than 3,300 HD VOD titles available every month on FiOS TV.

"The Hub HD is a great new addition to the FiOS TV channel lineup, as we consistently look for new programming for kids and new high-definition programming for our customers," said Terry Denson, the VP of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. "Verizon offers FiOS TV customers an expansive selection of kids’ programming, including one of the largest free VOD selections for children, with The Hub and more."
