TF1 First Quarter Profit Up 18.8 Percent

BOULOGNE, May 23: Market-leading French broadcaster TF1 has
announced first-quarter revenues of 88.5 million euros, an 18.8 percent gain on
the year-ago period.

Revenues were up by 7.3 percent to 702.3 million euros, with
ad revenues up 6.1 percent to 457 million euros. Other revenues were up 9.8
percent to 245.3 million euros.

The quarter’s profit was attributed to the ad revenue gains
as well as a 2.5 percent drop in programming costs to 227.3 million euros.

Announcing the results for the quarter, TF1 also reported
that its board has approved Nonce Paolini as its new CEO. Patrick Le Lay will
remain chairman.
