TF1, Endemol France Renew Partnership

BOULOGNE: TF1 and Endemol France have clinched a new partnership, covering non-scripted entertainment, documentaries and drama through June 30, 2012.

The long-term renewal sees France’s market-leading broadcaster taking the exclusive free-to-air rights for game shows, reality TV, entertainment, major events, documentaries and drama from Endemol France, as well as pay-to-view new-media rights to the content for use online, on mobile and via IPTV. According to the announcement from the two companies, the agreement gives TF1 greater flexibility across all slots: prime time, access prime time, late evening and daytime.

“I am delighted with this agreement, which secures TF1’s access to the world’s leading catalogue of formats across all broadcast and distribution channels," commented Nonce Paolini, the group chairman and CEO of TF1, adding “the agreement offers a balanced, flexible approach, in tune with the new economic landscape.”

Virginie Calmels, the chairman and CEO of Endemol France, added that the deal “reflects our commitment to TF1 and to our long-established and successful partnership."
