Televisa Takes Moonscoop’s Hero: 108

PARIS: Moonscoop has licensed the rights to its animated action-adventure comedy Hero: 108 to Televisa in Mexico.

The deal follows sales of the show to UK’s GMTV, MBC in the Middle East, and Cartoon Network channels worldwide, which co-produced the series. The show is currently on air on Cartoon Network in the U.S. and U.K., as well as in Latin America, Germany, Italy, Central and Eastern Europe, Iberia, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

“Hero:108 is one of the key Moonscoop brands and is really building momentum following its television launch," said Marie Conge, senior VP of international distribution and CPG at Moonscoop. "We’re focused on signing further international deals for the show and Televisa is the ideal platform for targeting the Mexican audience. We’re very pleased to conclude this deal in the region.”

The 52×11-minute series has Playmates on board as master toy partner, and is accompanied by a MMOG from RedGate Games, a subsidiary of Gamania Digital Entertainment.
